In short: in this version Cratița has no account and no server. Everything you enter stays on your phone. There are no ads, no analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not receive your data.
Who is responsible
The controller is Eugen Costică, a private individual in Romania and the author of the app. You can write to us at contact@cratita.ro or from Menu › Contact us.
What data the app uses
Your meal plan, shopping list, saved recipes, plans in My weeks and your preferences: store, budget, chosen meals and days, diet (including whether you fast), what you do not eat (for example a food you are allergic to), kitchen appliances and language.
The app also remembers, on your phone, how many weekly plans and shares you have used from the free ones and whether you have unlocked it.
For your household we only keep how many people fall into each age range (adults and teens over 14, children aged 9–13, 4–8 and 1–3). No names, no birth dates, no other details about children.
Why and on what basis
We use it only to make the app work: to calculate portions and cost, to suggest suitable recipes (for example, no alcohol, undercooked egg or spicy food for young children) and to build your shopping list. The legal basis is providing the service you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Fasting and the foods you avoid can reveal something about religion or health. That is why they stay on your phone only. If we introduce an account with online sync, we will first ask for your separate, explicit consent for them (Article 9 GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Where it is stored and for how long
Only on this device, in the app’s storage. We do not send it anywhere. You keep it as long as you like and can delete it at any time from Menu › Delete account and data, or by uninstalling the app. On the web, data stays in your browser and is deleted from the Menu or by clearing the site’s data.
Location
Only if you tap “Show stores near me” does the app ask for your approximate location (we round it to about 1 km). The distance to stores is calculated on your device; your location is not saved, not sent anywhere and is forgotten when you leave the setup. You can choose your town instead. We keep only the store you pick. The store list comes from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence) and is built into the app, so the search makes no internet request. When you tap “Open in Maps”, the maps app (or the OpenStreetMap website, on the web) receives only the store’s location; what it does next follows its own rules.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell it, rent it or use it for advertising.
When you unlock the app, the payment is processed by the App Store or Google Play under their rules. We do not receive your card details.
When you write to us from Contact us, the message is sent from your email app. We receive your address and what you write, and use them only to reply; we keep the conversation as long as needed, then delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable format, restrict its use and object to processing. While the data stays only on your phone, you can see, change and delete it yourself in the app. For any question, write to us.
If you believe we have broken the rules, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.
Children
The app is meant for adults (18 and over). For children in the household we keep only the age ranges above, to calculate portions.
Changes
If we change how we use data (for example, when accounts arrive), we will update this text beforehand and let you know in the app. Where your consent is needed, we will ask again.
